There will be a trial for anyone keen to represent Knox Badminton Team at the Youth Games on Tuesday at lunch.

Knox Pupils and Scotland Badminton Player Amanda Martin (S3) will be runninng the trial and anyone that enjoys the game is welcome to 'try out' for the team.

A reminder to all Italian Explorers that the meeting for parents/carers is on Wednesday 3 May at 7 pm.  This year the meeting will be held in the Food Court.  

It is vital that all Italian Explorers are represented at this meeting.  Should this not be possible, it is important that Mr Wren is notified in advance.

There will be an opportunity to make Spending Money payments by cash/cheque after this meeting.  Should you wish to make any final online payments for Spending Money these must be made immediately after the meeting at the latest.  Sterling received online after this time, may be refunded automatically, and sterling cash can no longer be accepted.  Any Spending Money payments after this time must be in Euro.  

Unless by prior arrangement, any outstanding excursion payments must also be made by this point.

The Italian Staff Team look forward to welcoming you on the evening to give final arrangements for our educational adventure with our 51 Italian Explorers of 2017.

The final payment for the S1 OBS Activities week is now due. The total amount is £250. If you are unable to pay this online in the next week please let Ms Brannigan know asap as she needs to pay for the transport and accommodation. The parents information evening for the trip is next Thursday (4th May) at 5.30pm. Hope to see you then.

We have information about  a music festival being organised in Haddington called Haddstock which will take place on Saturday 24 June. Haddstock will be a goodwill festival; musicians are volunteering to play and will keep whatever is donated into their hat/guitar case. They are looking for 5th and 6th year students who are 16 or over and would like to volunteer to steward on Saturday 24 June. If anyone is interested, please see Mr Flood or any member of the Music Department for more information and contact details.

From 9 am on Tuesday 25 April 2017 the uniform suppliers will be in school to measure current S4 pupils for their senior blazers (to be worn by pupils in S5/6). Classes should report to the assembly hall in the following order. Please return immediately to class following the measurements. This should take no more than a couple of minutes for each pupil.

  • 4G1 – 9 - 9.10am
  • 4G2 – 9.10 - 9.20am
  • 4G3 – 9.20 - 9.40am
  • 4L1 – 9.40 - 9.50am
  • 4L2 – 9.50 - 10am

Everyone who has represented Knox in Sport / Dance & Exercise this year is invited to come along on the night with their parents, to celebrate the many great achievements we have witnessed this year in terms of Effort, Commitment, Ability and Success.

Performers, Coaches and other Volunteers will all be recognised on this fantastic evening.

We are hugely excited about some of the BIG Names in Sport that will be joining us this year and we will have 4 AWESOME live performances lined up to entertain.

The count down to this year’s Youth Games is on - Only 3 weeks to go...! We are expecting around 400 S1s and S2's competitors from all over East Lothian and East Coast FM will be on sight to playing tunes throughout the day.
Coaches will be making their final selections in the next couple of weeks so. If you are looking to be involved this year as part of ‘Team Knox Sport’, it is time to start impressing your coaches with your effort and attitude at training.

Girls S1-S3 football starts this Thursday 4.30-5.30pm at the 3G at Whittingham Drive. These sessiosn are being run by a 6th Year girls coach Emily Russell and supported by PE teacher Mr MacDonald. Players need to collect a parental letter from Mr Wands asap or print off and return the attached letter. On Thursday, players should change at Knox and then make there way to the 3G to start at 4.30pm sharp.
