This exciting opportunity is for a full time trainee childcare assistant based in a well-established nursery situated in Musselburgh. You will be learning all aspects of childcare practice. You will be allocated a designated training assessor from BNG Training who will support and guide you through your Modern Apprenticeship Programme (SVQ Level 3 in Social Services, Children & Young People) allowing you to qualify as a childcare practitioner (Nursery Nurse)

This is a full time position Mon - Fri (working shifts between 7.30am-6.00pm) The role requires the successful applicant to be a positive role model and enthusiastic individual, good communicator and have a true desire in wanting to work with children.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who possess three National 5's or three Standard grades at Level 4 or above (one must be English) or Intermediate levels will be accepted. Exceptions may be made if applicants can demonstrate their practical abilities in this field.

Great to have new faces coming to check out the Jericho.  We still have room for more.   This coming Saturday we will have a valentine theme and will be designing and printing cards.  Although our opening time is 7.30 – 9.30pm at The Bridge Centre, we try and open the doors at 7.15pm if we are set up.  The Jericho will be CLOSED on 20th February, but we will be open again on 27th with a movie and pizza night so arrive on time as we will be ordering pizzas at 7.30pm.  Have a great half term.

Senior Choir rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 4pm to 4:45pm in the Music Department. There are only 5 more rehearsals before the Spring Concert, so full attendance is essential. If you cannot attend, please speak to Miss Orr.

It was great to have more folk turning up at The Jericho this past Saturday and we look forward to more of you joining us this coming Saturday 6th February – the doors open at 7.15pm at The Bridge Centre.  This week, besides all the usual, there will be curling on offer and our craft activity this week will be decorating glass containers and filling them with candle wax as gifts for Valentine’s Day.   So see you Saturday night, don’t miss out on the fun.

Any S2 pupil wishing to go to GEOBUS on Wednesday needs to return their forms to Miss Jeffrey before period 3 on Wednesday 3 February 2016 at the latest!.

The workshops will take place in Dr Dickenson's old science Lab - room T1.11, pupils should go straight there at the start of their allocated period where they will be registered on arrival.
