Pupils can now collect order forms for Leckie & Leckie and Bright Red past papers from Mr Plain.

The order deadline is 17th September 2010.

 

UNIVERSITY ACCESS

Edinburgh University

S5/6 pupils can apply for a Edinburgh University Library reference card. The card allows access to the the book and printed journal collection at Edinburgh University.

Reference cards are issued until the end of June 2011. To apply for a card please see Mr Plain before September 17th.

Queen Margaret University

Pupils in S5/6 can apply for an external membership card with Queen Margaret University. There is no charge for the card but you will be asked for a refunable deposit of £20.

The card allows pupils to borrow 2 items from the univeristy's 21 day loan collection.

Stephanie Meyer's novella from the Twilight saga, The short second life of Bree Tanner, is available at £5.99 from Knox Academy's Scholastic webpage. Buying the book from Scholastic gives £1 back to the school library to go towards new books.

Cover 2 Cover catalogues have been distributed by English Department Staff to S1/2 pupils, the library holds a supply of catalogues for S3+ pupils.

Closing date for current orders is June 18th 2010.

Anushka Lamb is this week's reader of the week.

Anushka has progressed in reading to gain target of Star Reader.

Anushka will now be working towards Classic Reader. WELL DONE.

Josh Nisbet has successfully completed quizzes on two titles in Accelerated Reader.

Josh passed both quizzes and is a nearly at the target to progress to the next level of Accelerated Reader.

Josh is this weeks AR Reader of the week.

Reader of the Week will be announced every Wednesday in term time.
